REPRESENTS ARTISTS THAT ASPIRE TO SHARE THEIR STORIES
It’s about storytellers who transmute emotions into perpetual motion. Our intention is encouraging multiplicity and diversity of artists, who want to create, share and develop.
REPRESENTS THE COMMUNITY THAT MERGES INDIVIDUALITY WITH SOLIDARITY
Samaya is about you. We embrace, encourage and celebrate our individualities, peculiarities and identities. Samaya is about us. We attune our individualities to what we associate with solidarity – empathy, support and respect for each other.
REPRESENTS THE SPACE THAT REDRWAS ITS BOUNDARIES
We don’t divide the space into categories. The space belongs to the moments that we create and share together. The space belongs to what unites us.
Samaya
Dance of the queen
The Samaya Dance is performed by three women or in groups of three, and its origins likely date back to pre-Christian times.
Today, Samaya represents Queen Tamar and her splendor, with its simple movements being graceful and gentle. The queen is revered in threefold:
– as a young princess – as a wise mother – as a powerful queen
Queen Tamar was the „King of the United Kingdom of Georgia“ in the 12th to 13th centuries and the first female Ruler in Georgian history. She was the only woman permitted to hold the male title of „King“. The years of her reign are regarded as the Golden Age of Georgia.
